Overview of The Grombals' Functions

  • Prevents keyholes from occuring
  • Stops existing keyholes
  • Gives your cymbal a sustained tone
  • Puts the cymbals directly on the metal
  • Works perfectly together with CymbalChief
  • Makes it super easy to both put on and remove the cymbals

Prevents Keyholes From Occuring

The Grombal sits in the hole of your cymbal and protects the cymbal from keyholes with its soft material. This prolongs the life of your cymbal and you can avoid that some warranties will be voided because of misuse.

Stops Existing Keyholes

If you are unlucky and already have a keyhole in your cymbal, The Grombal is still the solution for you. The Grombal prevents the keyhole from growing bigger than it already is because the cymbal stand no longer can wear the keyhole further down.

Gives Your Cymbal a Sustained Tone

The Grombal also gives your cymbal a sustained tone and more room for movement. Your cymbal gets so much movement that it is like holding the cymbal on your finger (cymbals held on a finger almost always have more tone than when held on a cymbal stand). If you play jazz, you have to try this on one of your rides!

Put the Cymbals Directly on the Metal

With The Grombal in your cymbal, you can - compeletely safely - put your cymbal directly on an "empty" cymbal stand where felt, washers, plastic, and the like have been removed.  The cymbal simply...

Allows You to Quickly Put On and Remove the Cymbal

When you use The Grombal, you can take your cymbal directly from your bag and onto the cymbal stand. Done ✅

You do not have to loosen or tighten any screws - You do not even have to use any.

How Do You Mount a Grombal?

You put the small end of The Grombal (this end has a small slit in it) into the hole of your cymbal. Then you twist it into place and you are then ready to mount the cymbal.

Nice to Know aobout The Grombal

When you put The Grombal on your cymbal, the hole gets a bit smaller.

Because of this, the hole fits onto the metal rod of your cymbal stand but not onto the metal washer/holder that is often put onto the metal rod of cymbal stands.

Therefore, The Grombal cannot be used along with No Nuts Cymbal Sleeves.

The Grombal fits onto cymbal stands with both 6mm and 8mm thread.
