Bass Drum O's port hole cutting tool

SKU: BO HC
EUR 10,00

The Bass Drum O’s Hole Cutter is the only right tool to use when you need to make a port hole in your bass drum. The hole cutter ensures that you get 100% perfect holes every time, and it is very easy to use.

How the hole cutter works

The hole cutter is equipped with a cutting wheel in the tip, as well as a movable alignment spike in the handlebar.

You simply insert the center alignment spike into the handlebar at the corresponding size of hole you want. (Each hole size is indicated on the cutting tool).

Bass Drum O's hole cutter can make holes from 2 to 10 inches in size, with 1" intervals, making a total of 9 possible sizes.

Punch the hole cutter alingment center spike into the drum head, press and turn - voila!

Why you should use the bass drum cutter

To achieve maximum strength in your bass drum port hole, it is important that the edge is completely uniform all the way around the edge.

When you want to mount a Bass Drum O's in your front head, it is also important that the hole is uniform and round. This is so that the parts fit together properly, when mounting the Bass Drum port hole system.

Pro tip

When you need to cut the hole in your drum head, it is a really good idea to put a piece of cardboard underneath. This ensures that you have a surface that the cutting wheel can cut into. It also ensures a stable cutting process, and then it wears less on your cutting wheel as well.

How to use Bass Drum O's Hole Cutter

  1. Lay your skin face down and the edge up.
  2. Set the guide on the hole cutter to the desired diameter and place the guide in the center of the hole where you want the hole.
  3. Press so that the handlebars go through the skin (this gives a small "click").
  4. Now press the cutting wheel itself down through the skin, and make sure to keep a good pressure on both the handlebars and the cutting wheel.
  5. Move the cutting wheel all the way around, and check that there is a cut through all the way around.
  6. Now remove the excess piece of drumhead - your hole is ready.
