About INDe Drums
INDe Drums was founded in 2015 by drummer and product designer Josh Allen.
A working drummer with a deep understanding of both sound and mechanics, Josh’s design approach was strong enough to earn him a position as product designer at Ludwig – one of the most iconic names in drum history.
During his time at Ludwig, Josh was responsible for developing the Atlas Hardware series, bringing modern functionality and smarter engineering into a brand known for tradition.
Eventually, he chose to leave Ludwig and work independently, free from legacy constraints and design compromises. That decision became the foundation of INDe Drums.
Hardware with a purpose
While INDe Drums also builds complete drum kits, the brand has become especially respected for its hardware solutions. These are products designed to solve known, real-world problems faced by working drummers.
Many classic drums – especially vintage snare drums – are celebrated for their sound, yet held back by outdated or unreliable hardware.
