Find your next cymbal – together with me over Zoom
You sit at home, I sit with the cymbals. We listen our way to the cymbal – or cymbals – you like.
How it works
- You tell me a bit about what you're looking for, what you play on today and what kind of music you play.
- Based on that, I pull out a few cymbals I think could be interesting for you.
- Maybe you've already found a cymbal on CymbalONE, but you'd like to hear it next to a few others before you decide.
- A session takes 20–40 minutes on Zoom, and you get the link by email.
- I play the cymbals for you, side by side. You choose, or you don't.
More cymbals than you see online
One of the advantages of an online cymbal session is that there are many more cymbals to listen to than the ones already filmed on CymbalONE.
That's exactly why it helps if I know what you're after before we get started.
One cymbal or a whole set?
You can use the session to put together a whole set, find two cymbals that work well together – or simply settle whether it should be this one or that one.
If you buy several at once, we'll agree a combined price.
No strings attached
- It costs nothing.
- You're under no obligation to buy, and if you like, I can record our session so you can listen back to it all.
- You don't need to know anything about cymbals beforehand. "A bit darker than what I have now" is a perfectly good place to start.
Why over Zoom?
All the cymbals are handmade, so two 19" crashes from the same series and model don't sound the same. In an online cymbal session you hear exactly the cymbal you choose, not just a sound clip of the model.
I use Zoom because it lets me get the sound quality up to a level where you can actually hear the differences between the cymbals. It's not quite the same as standing in the room, but it's what you know from my videos – just live!
Please use headphones you know well.
If you find the right one
Then I create the cymbal in the shop and send it to you as an ordinary CymbalONE order, with the usual right of withdrawal.
