What is the Sandwich protector?

The Sandwich protector from DRUMnBASE is a new solution for those who want to protect their bass drum hoop.

Instead of a single “U”-shaped piece like the Hoop Protect 180, the Sandwich model consists of two separate rubber pieces – one for the top and one for the bottom of the hoop. Together, they wrap around the hoop like a sandwich.

This provides strong protection against wear from pedal clamps and a solid grip between the pedal and the bass drum.

Perfect if you want to keep your bass drum hoop looking good for longer – while also ensuring the pedal doesn’t slip or feel loose.

Installation

Each of the two rubber pieces has a strong self-adhesive backing, making installation simple:

• Clean the hoop first so the surface is free of dust, dirt, and grease.

• Check the positioning before removing the protective film – to ensure everything sits straight.

• Remove the film one piece at a time and press it firmly into place.

Start with the top piece, make sure it's mounted evenly, and do the same with the bottom piece afterwards.
