The Anatolian Passion hi-hat was originally launched as part of a smaller jazz setup consisting of a 14" hi-hat, a 20" ride and a 20" light ride. Today the hi-hat is sold as an independent unit, simply because it sounds so well.
On the other hand, the weight has probably moved slightly upwards over the years. In any case, this exact hihat has a good and solid feel when you play it. There is sound behind your stick attack, and the individual cymbals sound clear and warm.
The fact that the hi-hat originally comes out of a jazz setup, is only in reference to its warm sound. The volume is really good here, and so is the crispness. You should therefore not be discouraged, even if you play rock - not at all. The hi-hat sounds very crisp and articulated.
Here you get a warm and crisp sound - check it out!
