Buy what many drummers have been looking for for years: A 20" ride cymbal with good stick definition, a nice warm sound and the ability to crash - on a moderate level.
The Casablanca series from CymbalWorks is ingenious when it comes to ride cymbals. There is just something fundamentally great about this series when it comes to qualities that work well in a ride cymbal.
The un-lathed surface, the hammering, the thickness and then the treated backside. All elements that in this case contribute to the creation of a really good and usable ride, where you get great stick definition and still retain a nice underlying spread.
And although this cymbal is the All-ride version - the thicker of the two models - this particular cymbal certainly leans into the "lighter" side - if you can put it that way.
Therefore, the cymbal also works surprisingly well as a 20" crash - though still with the good stick definition when desired.
The bell is a chapter in itself: Large, clear, crisp and very usable (and easy to hit ;-).
Here you get an awesome 20" - dark sounding - ride cymbal that can be used for all musical genres.
