Here's your chance to buy something very unique. Specifically, a hand-assembled cymbal stack, consisting of un-used cymbals from CymbalWorks. We're talking about one of the hippest trends right now - recycling! ♻️
All CymbalWorks cymbals are weighed, checked, and tested upon arrival from the factory. Occasionally, some cymbals don't quite hit the mark, which is why they get sorted out. It might be a matter of sound quality, or, as is the case with the top cymbal here, an incorrect series designation has been placed on the cymbal.
Instead of discarding these cymbals (melting them down), they can sometimes be turned into super cool stacks.
And that's exactly the case here!
This cymbal stack is made up of two cymbals:
A CymbalWorks 15" Collectables Vintage Hihat bottom
942 grams // 38 mm.
CymbalWorks 17" Copenhagen Session crash
1163 grams // 35 mm.
This stack sounds really good! It's short, trashy - and completely free of any annoying overtones or sustain.
You get about 1 second of sustain when you strike it, so the stack has a great balance between short and long. It's not so short that you can't hear it, and at the same time, it's not so long that it becomes undefined.
Furthermore, you can vary the sound depending on whether you play with the tip or shoulder, and the surface and edge offer two different sound possibilities, depending on where you choose to hit it.
Here, you get a brilliant addition to your drum kit. All you need is an extra cymbal stand - possibly with a No Nut Cymbal Sleeve (as used in the video) - although this is not required, it works really well.
Check it out!
