From the popular Copenhagen series we find this 21” light ride, which – with its size – sits right between the classic 20” and 22” rides. In other words, you get a bit of both worlds.
Tonally, we’re moving into the brighter end of the “dark spectrum” – if you can put it that way. The series generally consists of darker-sounding cymbals, but this particular one has a slightly brighter character.
The cymbal is relatively stiff considering its thickness. The sustain leans toward the more resonant side, and the cymbal crashes very nicely. Depending on how and where you play it, it could easily be categorized as a crash/ride. A cymbal with plenty of activity when you crash it.
