Precise Weight Distribution

One of the most notable features of StickWorks sticks is their remarkably consistent weight distribution. Each pair weighs almost exactly the same, making it easy and quick to choose new sticks.

But how is that even possible?

Pre-sorted American Hickory

The wood is first cut into blocks. These blocks are later turned into drumsticks – but first, they are weighed and sorted: All blocks within weight range A become the 7A model, blocks in weight range B become the 5A model, and so on.

In other words: each block of wood is pre-sorted by weight and assigned to a specific stick model. This results in extremely consistent stick weights.

The balance of StickWorks sticks is truly impressive. They naturally settle into your hand, giving you optimal rebound and allowing for effortless ghost notes. This lets you play more relaxed – which in turn improves your overall groove and control.

Hand-Matched by Pitch in Denmark

Uniquely, StickWorks sticks are hand-matched by pitch – right here in Denmark.

This is done by striking one stick on a hard surface (to clearly hear the tone of the wood). Then, a second stick with the exact same tone and density is selected – resulting in a perfectly matched pair.

Why does this matter?

This tonal matching ensures consistency between the two sticks in a pair. Practically, this allows you to play even single-stroke rolls without hearing any differences between your right and left hand.

This is a time-consuming process, but it ensures that you get the absolute best pair of sticks possible.

Surface Finish

Our drumsticks are coated with an ultra-thin layer of custom lacquer. This gives a smooth, natural feel – similar to unfinished sticks – but with the benefits of lacquer, such as reduced sweat build-up and improved grip. It also prevents the drumsticks from "chipping" as much.
