Looking for a big, flexible 19" crash with a good wash and a touch of "trashiness"? Then there's good reason to read on.
This cymbal from Anatolian's BC Worship series looks a little different from the rest of Anatolian's cymbals. The top is polished brilliant but with a raw bell, while the underside is lathed in the traditional way (with a raw bell there too).
The cymbal isn't thin, but it's still flexible and easy to activate. It passes the finger test with flying colours, and despite the size it doesn't take much to get it opening up.
The decay is fairly long, so you get good overlap and a good wash.
The sound is rushing and full, with the 10-15% "trashiness" this series often has, along with a bit of air. That gives the cymbal a different colour, and it's one that really delivers! Give it one solid hit and you get a lovely, full crash sound that fills the whole room.
It's aimed mainly at rock drummers who want a big sound, whether as a main crash or a crash-ride. But you can also use it as a supplementary light crash if you fancy.
