Anatolian Emotion 22" Light Ride

Are you after a ride with a touch of flat ride character, without giving up that classic Turkish voice? Then keep reading!

This is a 22" Light Ride from Anatolian's popular Emotion series – a fairly thin and soft cymbal with a flat, 40 mm profile.

The sound is silky, with a clear hint of flat ride character: there's a lovely simmering crash quality around the stick impact area that never takes over. In fact, when you dig in for a crash, it behaves a lot like an actual flat ride – rather than a big, exploding crash, you get something more tonal and floating, giving you a completely different playing experience.

Move further up the cymbal and play with regular stick strokes, though, and it sounds pretty much like a normal, well-balanced ride with a nice bell.

Even though it's a 22" and on the thinner side, it actually holds together really well when crashed – something that can be a challenge for thin cymbals at this size.
