With a Drum Dial Digital, you're well on your way to a great-sounding drum kit – and you'll get there faster.
The Drum Dial Digital is incredibly easy to read thanks to its large digital display. Place it by a tension rod, read the value, adjust – and move on to the next. It makes it much easier to achieve consistent tension across the head, resulting in better tuning.
It's actually possible to tune your entire kit without listening along the way – slightly exaggerated, but not far off. When the Drum Dial shows the desired value at each tension point, you're pretty much there. This makes it possible to change heads and tune the drum – even backstage with noise around you. Since it's often dark backstage, the built-in backlight is a huge help – you can still read the values clearly even in poor lighting.
Over the years, many misunderstandings have circulated about drum tuning aids. The biggest is probably the torque wrench – the idea that you can tune based on how tight the tension rods are. But the screw’s tension says nothing about the drum’s tone.
There’s really only one place where it makes sense to measure: on the drumhead itself.
This is where Drum Dial comes in. It measures directly how tight or loose the head is where you place it – and gives you a clear, easy-to-read value. No more guesswork.
