Drum Dial Digital Drum Tuner

SKU: DD DIG
EUR 130,50

With a Drum Dial product, you're already closer to a well-sounding drum set, and with a Drum Dial Digital Drum Tuner, you gonna reach your drum tuning goals faster.

It's easy to read the measurement at the big display of the Drum Dial Digital Drum Tuner. Just install the tuner close to one of the tension rods (or lugs), read the measurement, turn the tension rod, and continue with the next one.

With other words, it's really easy to make your drums sound great. Practically speaking, you can tune your entire drum set without listening to each tone along the way. As soon as you get the preferred measurement at each tension rod (or lug), you have reached your goal. This means that you can do this in loud surroundings, e.g. change the drum head of your snare drum backstage during a concert. It's quite clever - and comfortable.

If you're looking for ideas, or a little help in how much you need to tune different types of drums, then check out the tuning chart in the tuning guide from Drum Dial (this is also included when you buy the printed form). It consists of a chart that shows tuning suggestions but also a chart for notes of your own tunings. Download the free Drum Dial Tuning Guide here.

Myths about drum tuning

Through the ages, there have been a lot of fun suggestions for tools to tune drums with.

The torque wrench is maybe the biggest misunderstanding, since the tone of the drum has nothing to do with the tightness of a tension rod. Still, over the years, several companies have launched torque wrenches as a solution for everything in the context of tuning drums.

But there are other parameters that come into play. There's only one place where it make sense to measure: on the actual drum head.

This is where Drum Dial comes into the picture.

In fact, there's no hocus-pocus whatsoever in the way that Drum Dial works. The built-in pawl can measure how hard or soft your drum head is at the given tension rod (or lug). This results in a reading at the Drum Dial of which you can easily relate to. It is that simple.
