About the DRUMnBASE RimGroover

RimGroover is a simple – but truly effective – tool for your snare drum, with two clear functions:

1) Better and easier crossstick playing
RimGroover gives you a full and organic wood sound, but just as importantly: it raises the contact point, making crossstick playing noticeably easier and more comfortable. This gives you better control – even when playing softly – and makes it easier to work with ghost notes in your crosssticks.

2) Comfort on backbeats
Placed where your stick hits during backbeats, RimGroover works as a “buffer” that reduces the impact on your wrist and gives you a slightly softer sound. At the same time, it helps protect your drumsticks and rods.

What is it made of?

RimGroover is made from 14 plies of maple, ensuring a solid construction and a natural response – both in sound and feel. It comes with 2 pcs. 56 mm tension rods with standard thread. Black washers are included and can be placed between the RimGroover and the hoop for optimal stability and protection.
