KickStrap – Anchoring for Bass Drum & Hi-Hat

How KickStrap works

KickStrap consists of an adjustable strap with a mounting plate on one end and a large hook on the other.

1. The plate is mounted under your bass drum pedal, hi-hat stand, etc.
2. The hook is attached around your drum throne
3. The strap is adjusted to the appropriate length

That's all it takes!

Your bass drum (or hi-hat, etc.) is now anchored and secure.

Which version should you choose?

KickStrap is available in a low-rise and a high-rise version.

The difference lies in the height of the gripping element attached to the mounting plate.

• On the low-rise version, the height is 1/4 inch (6.7 mm)
• On the high-rise version, the height is 1/2 inch (12.7 mm)

…so which one should you choose?

You’ll need to take a quick look at the part where the plate needs to grip.

If it’s for a bass drum pedal, for example:

• If your pedal has a thin front plate: choose low-rise (6.5 mm)
• If the front is thicker: choose high-rise (12.7 mm)

But take a quick measurement – just to be sure! 👍

The same applies to your hi-hat stand: Measure how much KickStrap needs to grip onto.
