Anatolian Mystic 10" MicroFX Splash

This 10" MicroFX Splash from Anatolian's Mystic series is a very light and fast effect cymbal with a short, dry and airy tone.

The cymbal weighs 278 grams, and the many small perforated holes help give it its characteristic MicroFX sound. It responds instantly, has a very short decay and a light trashy character, making it perfect as an effect cymbal.

The Mystic series is already a dark and relatively dry series, and the MicroFX version takes that character one step further. The result is a splash that almost sounds like it carries a small puff of air with the attack.

Because the cymbal is both thin and very flexible, it doesn't take much to open it up. On the other hand, it doesn't have a huge amount of volume either. If you play loud rock or metal, it can therefore get a bit lost in the mix.
