If you are looking for a thinner 22" ride cymbal, with a warm, dark and almost vintage like sound, look no further.
This particular cymbal has lots of sound and nuances. And despite the fact that we are dealing with a light ride, there is still good control with the attack when you ride it. In practice this results in your drumstick being treated by a lovely wash of sound and colorful overtones, but never disappearing in it.
When you play the different areas of the surface, 3 "main zones" in particular appear - if you can call them that. In the video you can see and hear how they are distributed, but they provide opportunities to create variation in sound when you are playing.
The bell is nicely dark and full and draws sound out into the rest of the cymbal, which again helps to contribute to the feeling of coherence in the cymbal.
A great ride cymbal for all drummers who play everything from soft to medium-loud. The real "hard hitters" will probably have to look for something a little thicker - but for all the rest of you: Check it out!
